Feely encourages farmers to consider Farm Business Improvement Scheme capital funding
Published: 11 November, 2016
Sinn Féin Councillor for Erne West, Anthony Feely, encourages farmers to consider applying for the Farm Business Improvement Scheme capital funding.
Speaking from his home in Garrison, Councillor Feely said:
"I would encourage farmers to look at and consider applying for the FBIS- Capital scheme to improve their farms.
"Tier 1 of the funding is to help improve sustainability of the farm and is aimed at purchase of equipment and machinery. Grants are between £5,000 - £30,000.
"Tier 2 of the scheme is for larger projects such site construction or high value equipment purchase and attracts a grant of up to £250,000.
"More points are awarded for online applications so I would urge farmers applying to do this if possible.
"Further information on the scheme can be found on the DAERA website or by contacting Inishkeen House." -Ends/Críoch
